Dr. Schmidt's practice is devoted to cosmetic plastic surgery with an emphasis on aesthetic surgery of the face, (facelift, mini-lifts, eyelid lifts and brow lifts), breast surgery (breast enlargement, breast lifting and breast reduction), and body contouring (full and mini tummy tucks, liposuction, arm and thigh lifts).

He also uses many of the newest techniques such as the fractional CO2 for restoring the natural quality of the skin on the face, neck and chest. He also performs many non-surgical procedures including Sculptra injections, tissue fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, Prevelle Silk), and Botox Cosmetic injections.

Undergraduate:

Dr. Schmidt received his Bachelor of Science degree at St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin in 1975.

Medical:

Dr. Schmidt received his M.D. degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin in 1982.

Residency:

Dr. Schmidt moved to Florida in 1982. He subsequently completed his general surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 1987. He remained at the University of Florida and completed his Plastic Surgery residency in 1989. Dr. Schmidt then received additional fellowship training in cleft lip, cleft palate, and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the Humana Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
