Dr. Ben J. Childers is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon whose practice is centrally located near downtown Riverside. He has brought to Riverside a wealth of experience in Cosmetic, Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. His surgical training was at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Further training in Plastic Surgery was obtained at Loma Linda University followed by a return to Harvard for an intensive fellowship in hand and microsurgery. Upon completion of his surgery training Dr. Childers practiced at the University of California in San Diego. He than returned to Loma Linda University where he was fortunate to practice as an associate Professor of Surgery for six years.

Dr. Childers provides a complete range of cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, hand surgery and microsurgery as well as non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Standard cosmetic procedures would include abdominoplasty(tummy tuck), liposuction, Mastopexy (breast lift), breast augmentation, facial rejuvenation procedures such as facelift, blepharoplasty, forehead lift. One area of special interest to Dr. Childers is total body contouring after gastric bypass procedures. Many non surgical procedures are performed in the office such as micro dermabrasion, micro dermatologic peel, hair removal, botox and the use of a full range of facial dermal fillers.

Dr. Childers has performed over 10,000 procedures. In addition to the full range of cosmetic procedures, his practice is devoted to women of breast reconstruction. Once the initial shock of breast cancer is realized, and the mastectomy has occurred, women seek reconstruction to restore their form and sense of wholeness. For most mastectomy patients, breast reconstruction dramatically improves their appearance and their quality of life.

Dr. Childers is Board Cerified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has written multiple articles for national medical journals and has appeared on television shows such as Impact and American Health Journal.
